Disease got you down? Helpful tips on how to stay disease free

Unfortunately disease is everywhere. Today thats all you hear. H1N1 this, cancer that. Sad to say but most of it can be prevented. Here is how I stay disease free.

Make sure you have a sound diet that includes plenty of lean beef and poultry. You also want to make sure you have a diet rich in green vegetables. These help in detoxing your body. Limit sweets and fast foods. These foods are the worst for you and can lead to disease down the line.

We all need at least 45 minutes of exercise every other day. We really should do that everyday but at a minimum it should be every other day. Some of my favorite exercises are walking, running, riding my bike, swimming and going to the gym. Make sure to do exercise that you enjoy and if you can try to get others involved. This makes it much easier and holds you accountable to actually do it.

Make sure to visit your doctor for a check-up every 6-12 months. This will ensure that you are staying disease free and if your not you can catch any disease early.

The average human body needs 7-8 hours of sleep in order to repair cells and keep your immune system up and running at peak performance. Do yourself a favor and rest up.

Fight Cancer by Exercising!

Everywhere you look cancer is rampant. Some believe that the added stress, lack of sleep and poor nutrition are to blame. On the one hand this is true but the real root cause of cancer is lack of oxygen to the body. Lack of oxygen? Yes the lack of oxygen that comes from smoking and or lack of exercising.
So how do we eliminate the risk of cancer? Simple. Don't smoke and get 3-4 days of exercise per week. The act of exercising on a regular basis will increase the amount of oxygen your body takes in thus eliminating the risk of cancer. Now don't think just because you exercise you can eat crap. You need a balanced diet of lean meats and plenty of greens to help increase natural oxygen levels. I'll be posting sample food plans for healthy living soon so stay tuned.
